Virtual Production Integration Using Voia

In this example, I implemented virtual production workflows to previsualize a show concept. The footage on the bottom right is the raw camera capture I shot in my backyard. Using Voia, that footage is automaticly brought into a Unreal Engine environment—uploaded alongside a SketchUp file created by my Art Director, which includes the detailed tiny home.

Voia's App utilized the LiDAR sensor on the phone to track camera movement in real time, automatically keying out the subject and inserting them into the virtual scene. The result maintained realistic parallax and camera motion, allowing us to simulate final-frame shots without needing to build the physical set.

This setup allowed us to:

• Pitch a fully realized visual concept before production
• Align creative teams early using real camera movement + 3D visualization
• Save time and money on prebuilds, scouting, and guesswork

NeRF Technology on Killer Cakes (Amazon Prime)

For Amazon Prime’s Killer Cakes, I used NeRF technology to push food cinematography into a new dimension. Working with my DP, we captured around 120 high-resolution stills of each cake. Using Luma Labs’ app, those images were processed into a 3D NeRF environment—allowing us to create impossible cinematic shots of the cakes in full 4K.

This technique let me virtually spin, fly, and explore the cakes with a level of precision and motion that simply isn’t possible with traditional cameras—especially given the short window we have before the judges dig in.

The result? Visually striking, story-driven cake reveals that elevate the genre and give these haunted desserts the cinematic treatment they deserve.
